


SOCIAL STUDIES

Lacy's EYE offers Social Studies Curriculum through

Elementary grade levels (Grades 1 - 5 or 1 - 6) will be introduced to Social Studies through various channels to learn about the history of a country and the significance of key figures in history - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Alexander Hamilton, and more - as well as key figures of today who have a significant impact all over the world. They will engage is activities and topics appropriate for their age level, and even learn to do research and demonstrate the knowledge they've gained through relevant presentations and reports.

Middle school grade levels (Grades 6 - 8 or 7 - 8) will expand on previous knowledge of local society to understand a more global society. Topics such as World Wars, global governments, and even global health crises are a part of their curriculum. Each grade level offers a history, government, or sociology class that will introduce students at this level to a deeper understanding of the world around us.

High school students (Grades 9 - 12) will be immersed in deep historically-, socially-, and economically-driven coursework and activities. They will have the opportunity to understand history's affects on today, how economies fluctuate, what's relevant about current events as it pertains to them, and more!
