Language arts for elementary students focus on building the foundational skills that students need to become efficient communicators in later years. From mastering phonics, improving reading and grammar skills to expanding vocabulary knowledge and more.

During middle school, students continue to focus on building a number of important literacy skills including fluency, grammar, spelling, vocabulary, reading comprehension and writing. In addition, students will gain advanced skills in literary analysis, critical thinking, sentence structure and more.

A high school curriculum includes four years of English language arts courses. During this time, students will explore various classic and contemporary texts from different time periods as they master their comprehension and literary-analysis strategies.  The English language arts curriculum also includes vocabulary lessons, essay writing, and a number of activities that help strengthen important communication skills such as listening and speaking.

Your membership with LEHS also includes additional resources, supplemental exercises and activities, and access to tutors and instructors at every grade level!

**Time4Learning Language Arts is primarily focused on Literature, but LEHS offers the grammar and composition supplemental education through online lessons and worksheets.
